About Volkswagen Anhui

Volkswagen Anhui was established in 2017 as Volkswagen’s first new energy vehicle joint venture in China and Volkswagen’s third vehicle joint venture in China. It was a 50-50 joint venture between Volkswagen and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), which made cars under the SOL brand. Volkswagen later took control of the joint venture and now holds 75% of the shares. Then JAC changed the SOL brand to Sehol to make only JAC cars.
