VIDEO: Dutch actor Horace Cohen gives Verstappen’s F1 car a lick of paint

Last year, Red Bull Racing had a campaign where fans could submit liveries for the F1 team for the United States GP. This year, you can apparently vote for your favorite Dutch actor/comedian with American roots. In the video in which Red Bull shows the special livery for this weekend’s race at Silverstone, Horace Cohen can be seen painting Verstappen’s F1 car.

Seriously, this year fans will once again be able to choose what a part of the F1 car looks like at various races. This time, Thailand’s Chalaj Suvanish is the lucky one. He designed the RB20 with the red stripes. He says he got his inspiration from Red Bull’s test livery from 2015. Back then, Red Bull drove around in the cool black and white ‘Camo Bull’ wrap. You can see this car in the last photo in the gallery. We’re still looking for similarities between the car from back then and Suvanish’s design.

The designer will also receive VIP tickets for the British GP this weekend. He says: ‘I can’t believe it: not only am I going to attend an F1 race, I’m also going to see the car I designed driving there! It would be great if they could win in my colours.’ Christian Horner adds that he has seen all the entries come in. I think he had better things to do. Is that why Jos was so angry?
