Splish Splash Another Porsche 911 just took a bath

  • Recently, a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet was discovered partially submerged in a canal.
  • Authorities in Florida don’t have many answers because the car was unoccupied and apparently abandoned.

Police in Miramar, Florida recently encountered an unusual sight. A Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet in a canal.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){ adpushup.triggerAd(“4d84e4c9-9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a”); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd(” 6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657″); } });

In social media posts, Miramar police said the car was found “partially submerged in a canal near SW 132nd Avenue, just south of Old Miramar Parkway.” The vehicle was found empty and apparently abandoned as “no one was in the canal or surrounding areas.”

Needless to say, an investigation was launched and local media reported that authorities had attempted to contact the owner of the Porsche. There is no word on what happened, but the car was eventually pulled out of the canal and towed away from the scene.

Whatever the cause of the accident, it was likely an expensive accident. While the details are vague at best, a new 911 Turbo S Cabriolet will set you back $243,200, before a $1,650 destination fee and a $1,300 gas-guzzler tax.

However, it’s easy to spend thousands, if not tens of thousands, more on upgrades and options. For example, you can get titanium wheel studs for $1,570 or a Heritage Design Package for $7,970. Customers can also opt for an exclusive Manufaktur leather interior worth $10,680 and a sports package worth $11,200. That’s just the beginning, as the company also offers colored seat belts worth $540, aluminum pedals worth $630, and an adaptive cruise control system worth $2,000.

Of course, this isn’t the first 911 to impress, as it is essentially the Mustang of the rich and famous.
