Own A Jeep? Ford May Give You $1,000 Off A New Bronco

Ford isn’t offering many discounts lately, but it will get you a big one when you buy a Bronco if you own a 1995 or newer model year Jeep

It’s no secret that Ford is targeting Jeep buyers with its own pair of off-road SUVs, the Bronco and the smaller Bronco Sport. However, the Blue Oval didn’t have to do much more than offer the vehicles to attract customers. Until now.

Ford is telling dealers in certain areas to offer anyone who owns a Jeep (or who lives at the same address as someone who owns one) a $1,000 rebate on a Bronco or Bronco Sport. Fascinatingly, this isn’t a trade-in incentive; Ford doesn’t want you to give up your Jeep, it just wants you to get one of its off-road vehicles too.

Sure, there are some caveats, but they’re surprisingly chilly. The biggest asterisk is that Ford is only offering this deal to buyers in certain areas, Cars Direct reports. The deal appears to be good in Chicago, New York and Phoenix. Meanwhile, buyers in Dallas and Atlanta can only expect a $500 discount on their Bronco.

While the incentive appears to be good for the 2024 and 2023 model year Broncos and Bronco Sports, there is one model that Ford won’t offer a deal on. It won’t surprise you that the automaker thinks people (even those who already own a Jeep) will pay full price for the Bronco Raptor.

There are also some limitations to the Jeeps that Ford will recognize for this deal, but they are pretty relaxed. To qualify, your Jeep must be a 1995 model year or later. However, as indicated above, the vehicle does not even have to be registered in your name. You may qualify for this discount if a family member has a Jeep but must live at the same address as you. And that’s it, it seems.

This is a notable deal, not only because it’s kind of funny to see Ford taking direct aim at Jeep, but also because the automaker hasn’t offered many discounts lately. It’s been a seller’s market and dealers are keen to take advantage of that, so it’s interesting that the blue oval feels the need to entice buyers with deals.
