Jeep is previewing several wild off-road concepts for the upcoming Easter safari

It’s that time of year again when Jeep is gearing up to release a load of concepts in the rugged landscapes of Moab, Utah. The automaker whetted our appetite for the 58th annual Easter Jeep Safari, scheduled between March 23 and 31, offering a glimpse of the off-road-focused concepts that will conquer the demanding trails in the 2024 edition of the event.

Jeep described the models as an “all-new collection of distinctive, mission-oriented concept vehicles,” featuring a wide range of Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) from Mopar. The good news is that some of these will eventually be put up for sale, as the company often uses concepts to test the public’s reaction to upcoming products.

Some of the official teasers recently released on Jeep’s Facebook and Instagram pages focus on small details, but others are quite revealing. In total we count five Wrangler-based builds, one Gladiator and one Grand Wagoneer, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see more custom Jeeps appear in the future.

One of the highlights is a teal Jeep Grand Wagoneer with discreet wood paneling on the profile, white roof and pillars, and a matching set of alloy wheels with grippy tires. The large SUV also has retractable side steps, additional LEDs and a tent on the roof. Inside, the seat upholstery combines brown leather and tartan fabric, completing the nostalgic references.

Another concept seen in several photos is a green Jeep Wrangler with the 2024MY grille and ‘Willys’ lettering on the hood. This also comes with a Warn winch on the front bumper and retro-flavored cloth upholstery for the dashboard.

Ahead, one of the official sketches shows a Wrangler with a 392 decal on the red and white paint scheme. We can also see sporty vents on the body-color fenders, and a bulging hood that suggests it’s equipped with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8. This concept could be a preview of the upcoming 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 ‘Final Edition’, although no one can be sure before the big reveal. Finally, there’s a cool Wrangler with a military-style wrap and a red short cut convertible with lower forty graphics on the hood.

We’ll keep this story updated with the latest teasers and information until the concepts appear in the Moab Desert. In the meantime, you can check out last year’s Jeep Safari studies here.
