Building on the expertise Hyundai has gained in the Touring Car Racing (TCR) World Tour since entering the series in 2017, the TCR Edition draws heavily on the brand’s racing success and technical know-how.

The Elantra N TCR Edition features several racing upgrades designed to improve both performance and visual appeal. One of the standout features is the lightweight, adjustable carbon fiber Swan Neck spoiler, which helps optimize downforce for different driving conditions. The sedan also features 19-inch N TCR forged wheels, which offer both reduced weight and improved stiffness, while four-piston N Performance brakes provide increased stopping power.

Under the hood, this edition remains closely aligned with the standard Elantra N, powered by the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. This powertrain produces 206 kW, with a further 10 kW available via the ‘N Grin Shift’ overboost function, which generates a maximum torque of 392 Nm. Although the TCR Edition does not feature any major mechanical changes, the improvements are intended to further enhance its track-ready character.

Inside, the Elantra N TCR Edition features motorsport-inspired accents, including an Alcantara steering wheel with a Performance Blue top marker, exclusive TCR Edition badging and matching blue seat belts. Special decals will also be available in South Korea, further highlighting the racing heritage.

Hyundai plans to launch the Elantra N TCR Edition in South Korea in December, with a global rollout expected in 2025. The Elantra stopped being available locally several years ago, so there’s no chance this race-inspired sedan will find its way to South Africa. banks.
