On November 30, GAC and Huawei held a signing ceremony to jointly create a new high-end smart new energy vehicle brand, joining GAC Aion, GAC Trumpchi and GAC Hyptec. GAC named the collaboration “Huawei Intelligence + GAC Smart Manufacturing,” which covers R&D, marketing and services, which is similar to the collaboration mode used by Huawei and four other automakers under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).

According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly define and develop a series of smart cars for the future, based on the new generation of smart car digital platforms, based on the GAC GEP 3.0 platform and Huawei CCA (computer and communication architecture), equipped with Huawei’s full-stack smart car solutions.

At the earnings conference a few days later, Zeng Qinghong, chairman of GAC, said that GAC and Huawei originally planned to jointly develop a new brand, but GAC has already launched brands such as Aion and Hyper, and there is no need to create new brands. a new brand.
At the recent Guangzhou Auto Show, GAC announced that it plans to launch seven models in 2025, including pure electric models, extended range models and plug-in hybrids, to account for more than 60% of the company’s total sales by 2027 reach the group. GAC will launch 22 new models over the next three years.
In particular, GAC Trumpchi will work with Huawei to launch three new mid-to-high-end SUVs, MPVs and sedans, all equipped with Huawei’s premium intelligent driving technology. The new models from GAC Aion and Hyptec will be equipped with GAC’s range extender technology.
