• A large group of performance cars piled up in a crash on a Georgia highway.
  • It is unclear what caused the crash, but all eight cars appear to be seriously damaged.
  • People who report being close to the crash blame the drivers for ‘100% racing’.

Reckless drivers are everywhere, but karma doesn’t always catch up with them. However, in Georgia it appears to have arrested eight such drivers. Reports indicate that the drivers of the performance cars seen in the video below were tearing up the car before causing a major pile-up.

Apparently this accident happened on I-285 in Atlanta, Georgia, while several individuals were on their way to a meeting called Caffeine and Octane. It is located in Kennesaw and takes place the first Sunday of every month. For at least eight of the people who went there, the day ended with an accident.

Video from a passing car shows the carnage as drivers and passengers appear to check each other out. It’s impossible to say what caused the crash, but some vehicles appear to have been driven into the melee.

Video shows a Toyota Supra, an Infiniti coupe, a BMW 3-Series coupe, three Dodge Challengers and a pair of Ford Mustangs in the group. If the goal here is to report an everyday fender bender to insurance, that may prove difficult. Individuals in the thread of this video report on gathering evidence about what happened before and during the crash.

One person claiming to be close to the group says they were more or less asking for it. “These cars were essentially weaving aggressively through heavy traffic. It was 100% racing. I even moved all the way to the right lane to let them pass, because I knew they were going to hit someone. Don’t let people tell you that they were driving normally and safely,” they say.

We have contacted several individuals who indicated they attended and will update this story as soon as we know more.
