Our regular readers know that YangWang is a luxury NEV (New Energy Vehicle) brand under BYD. It was launched in 2023. The model line consists of three models: the U9 sports car, the U8 SUV and the U7 sedan. However, currently only the U8 off-roader is on sale with a price tag of over 1 million yuan (140,000 USD). YangWang continues to expand its model line and its latest addition, the fastback crossover, was recently spotted on the streets.

The official name of the fourth YangWang model has not been officially announced. According to various sources, it has two naming options: U7 GT and U6. We at CarNewsChina are leaning towards the U6 variant. However, Chinese naming periodically becomes unpredictable. So we will avoid using a specific name.

Spy shots of YangWang fastback SUV

The spied YangWang fastback crossover wears heavy camouflage. The proportions remain close to those of models such as Denza N7, Zeekr 001 and BYD Song L. The front of YangWang’s new EV features the brand’s signature headlights and a trapezoid air intake. It has traditional side mirrors, retractable door handles and five-spoke wheels. Seen from the rear, the YangWang fastback SUV has a sporty spoiler and a single rear light unit. On the roof it has a LiDAR sensor from RoboSense, a BYD-backed hi-tech company.

Inside, YangWang’s new car follows the brand’s design language. The center panel has three screens. An instrument panel and front passenger screen measure 23.6 inches in diameter. The main screen has a portrait layout and a diameter of 12.8 inches. The gear lever of the YangWang fastback SUV is behind the three-spoke steering wheel. The center tunnel has two wireless charging pads. The front seats have a sporty shape with integrated headrests.

The spotted YangWang crossover is a BEV with four electric motors. It is on BYD’s e4 platform. Peak power will most likely reach 960 kW (1,287 hp). The YangWang U7 sedan has the same power.
