The Denza N9, a large BYD flagship crossover designed for the global market, unveiled its interior in China. It has three rows of seats, a 50-inch HUD, a 17.1-inch ceiling and an 11.5-liter refrigerator. The Denza N9 will enter China next year with a peak power of 710 kW (951 hp) and a starting price above 500,000 yuan (68,950 USD).

Denza is a high-end NEV brand founded in 2011 by BYD and Mercedes-Benz. In September 2024, BYD took over 100% ownership of Denza. The model line of this high-end brand consists of five vehicles. The upcoming Denza N9 SUV will be the brand’s flagship. It will also help promote Denza’s overseas development, previously seen in Britain.
Denza N9 interior
The interior of the Denza N9 follows the brand’s latest design language adopted by the Z9 and Z9 GT models. The N9’s center console has a triple-monitor layout and a large 17.3-inch touchscreen. The 13.2-inch LCD instrument cluster is located behind the D-shaped steering wheel. Another 13.2-inch screen is located on the front passenger side.

The center tunnel of the Denza N9 has a minimalist style with two wireless charging pads, a block of physical buttons and a hidden compartment. The front seats of the Denza N9 offer an active side support function. The front passenger seat supports a gravity mode.
The second row of the Denza N9 has two independent captain’s chairs that fold flat into a bed. Second-row passengers have a 17.1-inch ceiling-mounted screen and two folding illuminated mirrors. In addition, there are two folding tables that can support up to 10 kg of weight. Another high-end feature of the Denza N9 is an 11.5 liter storage box with heating and cooling functions hidden in the center tunnel. It has an operating temperature range from minus 6 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.
The third row of the Denza N9 has two seats. This means that this large SUV has six seats with a 2+2+2 layout. Not much can be said about the seats in the third row. They are equipped with two cup holders and four USB ports.

The Denza N9 is a large crossover. It has dimensions of 5258/2030/1830 mm with a wheelbase of 3125 mm. To be clear, it’s slightly longer than the long-wheelbase 2024 Range Rover. The Denza N9 rides on R21 or R22 wheels.
The PHEV variant of the Denza N9 SUV uses a combination of three electric motors for 680 kW (911 hp) and a 2-liter turbo engine for 152 kW (204 hp). It has a 47 kWh LFP battery pack for an electric range of 165 km (CLTC). The top speed of the car is 230 km/h. The Denza N9 will also have a BEV variant with three e-motors for 710 kW (951 hp). Currently there is no information about the size of the battery pack.
