The Brabus Big Boy RV is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds

  • Brabus collaborated with the Belgian STX Motorhomes for a custom-made Mercedes-Benz camper.
  • It has an all-black exterior and a custom interior with leather, wood and Alcantara accents.
  • Brabus is asking €1.3 million for the Big Boy 1200 RV, or about $1.4 million.

Brabus makes truly amazing vehicles. The German tuner recently introduced a carbon-bodied SL shooting brake, and for that the shop packed 930 horsepower under the hood of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. But this might be the wildest Brabus build we’ve ever seen.

It’s called the Big Boy 1200. That’s right, the Big boy. And as you can probably tell, this is no supercar. Brabus was built alongside the Belgian STX Motorhomes and transformed an everyday Mercedes Actros RV into a country house on wheels.

With a length of no less than 12 meters and a width of 2.5 meters, the Brabus Big Boy (nice to say) has a lot of space for activities. It boasts 30 square meters of luxurious living space and comes with double electric slide-outs on either side that extend the bedroom to 4.5 meters wide.

The all-black exterior gives the Big Boy a ‘murdered’ look, complete with a solid Brabus roundel on the grille. There are even more Brabus logos and stickers on the side and back of the camper, so everyone knows what you’re driving.

As you enter the electrically operated folding staircase, the interior is, as you would expect, quite posh. The driver and front passenger get perforated leather seats with triangular stitching. A 63.0-inch-wide bed folds down just above. The living room has two sofas upholstered in the same quilted leather as the front seats and high-quality carpet on the floor. Brabus also added matte wood and Alcantara accents in the cabin.

And there’s plenty of technology to use. Brabus has added a Starlink satellite dish with a Wi-Fi router to keep the Big Boy connected on the go, as well as two 43-inch 4K TVs, a PS5 gaming console and a premium audio system.

The kitchen is equipped with a double sink, an oven, a dishwasher and a large refrigerator. There is a second smaller refrigerator – for wine of course – and a built-in coffee maker. There is even a beautiful marble-clad toilet room with adjacent shower.

The Brabus Big Boy 1200 is powered by a powerful 12.8-liter six-cylinder turbo diesel engine. It produces 530 horsepower and 1,918 pound-feet of torque, more than enough to move this massive RV. That said, it has a limited top speed of just 56 miles per hour.

All this extravagance doesn’t come cheap. Brabus is asking €1.3 million (about $1.4 million) for its Big Boy 1200 RV, and we expect this will be limited to just a handful of examples.
