- New cabin design, interface, about 27-inch OLED screen space
- GV70 Electrified gets a larger battery pack of 84 kWh, range not yet confirmed
- New terrain mode, improvements to adaptive damping
Genesis has unveiled updated versions of its GV70 series for 2026, including a refreshed cabin design and a new interface.
2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 models get an even bigger update, including a larger 84 kWh battery pack, more range and the addition of a Tesla NACS charging port.
The Genesis GV70 is the brand’s best-selling model line, with more than 85,000 of these models sold in North America, so it’s a particularly important innovation.

Gasoline versions of the Genesis GV70 are still powered by a 300-hp 2.5-liter turbo-4 or a 375-hp 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Some petrol GV70 models and all electrified GV70s come with adaptive dampers, including a system that literally reads the road and adjusts accordingly. Now Genesis has added logic that helps quickly adjust front and rear damping for acceleration and deceleration. A new Terrain Mode also brings specialized modes for sun, mud and sand.
In the Electrified GV70, a dual-motor system produces 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a boost mode that delivers 483 horsepower in 10-second bursts.
At 84 kWh, up from 77.4 kWh, the Electrified GV70 gets a significant increase in range from last year’s EPA rating of 236 miles. And thanks to sequel 800 volt fast charging optiona full charge will likely be possible within 20 minutes – with a CCS adapter, as Tesla Superchargers don’t yet deliver these power levels.

However, Genesis does say that adding NACS will more than double the size of the DC fast charging network available to Genesis EV drivers – for road trips and more. With the larger battery, you can expect charging times to increase slightly by 10-80% over the now optimal 18 minutes (when using a CCS adapter).

The innovation follows what has already been introduced in the updated global GV70 versions. The centerpiece of the revised interior is new 27-inch OlED display that fully integrates both the instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment, not to mention wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The rest of the dashboard design has been completely reworked and restyled, while a different door panel design and reworked materials, surfaces and lighting give this model an altogether cleaner, yet warmer, look and feel.
While the exterior is largely retained, petrol models get a new grille design and pattern; new multi-lens array (MLA) headlamps emphasize the dual horizontal lighting lines up front, and both the skid plate and front air intakes have been given a more chiselled look.

The 2026 Genesis GV70 models will arrive in the first half of 2026 and will be “dual-sourced,” according to the brand, from the Alabama factory in the US and one in South Korea.
